Women Belong is the name of the women's ministry at Sturgeon Bay Community Church.

Our mission is to equip women with Biblical Truth so they grow in relationship with God, build community and impact their world together.  Click here to learn more about our mission, vision and values.

The main way our mission is accomplished is by connecting women with a Group. In Groups women support one another and are encouraged to dig in to what the Bible says about life and female identity. In this knowledge, they see for themselves that they matter to God and "belong" in His family and in relationship with other believers.  Below is a current list of women's groups.

Join a Women's Group

  • Monday PM - "Genesis" (OPEN)

    Weekly / 6:45-8:15 pm / SBCC Annex 620 N. 12th Avenue / 8 weeks

Starts January 13th.  "In the beginning..." With that simple phrase we are invited into the story of redemption that unfolds across the entire Bible. Whether you're new to Genesis or have read it many times, this group will offer a fresh look at this foundational book and help you see how Genesis illuminates the rest of Scripture. Join us for 8 weeks as we journey from Eden to Egypt and seek out the God who has blessed us from the very beginning.

We will be using the Genesis study guide from She Reads Truth as a recommended (though not required) resource. Contact Brianna Tittel: 801-739-4290.

  • Tuesday AM - MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers - "To The Full" (OPEN)

    2nd & 4th Tuesdays / 9-11am / SBCC Sanctuary

Ongoing.  MOPS is an international organization that believes that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face.  Join moms of children ages 0-5 to share your lives and support each other.  Childcare is provided.  This year's theme is "To The Full" from John 10:10, as Jesus says "...I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

  • Wednesday am - Bible Study Fellowship (OPEN)

Weekly / 10:00-11:30 am / First Baptist Church, Sturgeon Bay / 30 lessons

Starts September 11th and runs through mid-May.  Join us for "Unstoppable" -- a multi-church women's Bible study on the book of Acts.  Acts documents the infancy of the early Church from Jesus' instruction of His apostles before His ascension to the day of Pentecost and the explosion of Christianity.  Learn about our unstoppable God and His unstoppable church!

  • Wednesday PM - "Uninvited" Video Study (OPEN)

    Weekly / 6:30-8pm / Sandi Kerscher's home / 6 weeks

Starts January 15th GOD WANTS US TO LIVE LOVED WHEN WE FEEL LEFT OUT, LONELY, AND LESS THAN.   Join us as we dig deep into God’s Word in this study from Lysa TerKeurst to help you explore the roots of rejection, the way other relationships get tainted because of a past rejection, and the truth about what it looks like to live loved. This study will help you and your group to enter a place of healing and new perspective, as well as a time for you to go to new places with Jesus and experience him like never before.

Uninvited reminds us we are destined for a love that can never be diminished, tarnished, shaken, or taken—a love that does not reject or uninvite.

  • Thursday AM - "Free of Me" (OPEN)

    Weekly / 9-10:45 am, Fellowship 10:45-11:00 am / SBCC Annex 620 N. 12th Avenue / 9 weeks

Starts January 23rd.   We live in a culture that's all about self, becoming the best “me” I can be instead of becoming like Jesus. The self-focused life robs our joy, shrinks our souls, and is the reason we never quite break free of insecurity.  Join us as we discover a purpose bigger than "project me" in a five-part series by Sharon Hodde Miller which invites us into a bigger, Jesus-centered vision—one that restores our freedom and inspires us to live for more.

Study is from 9 am - 10:45 am, fellowship afterwards until 11:00 am.  Contact Debbie Bryan at 231-620-5037.
