Women Belong is the name of the women's ministry at Sturgeon Bay Community Church.

Our mission is to equip women with Biblical Truth so they grow in relationship with God, build community and impact their world together.  Click here to learn more about our mission, vision and values.

The main way our mission is accomplished is by connecting women with a Group. In Groups women support one another and are encouraged to dig in to what the Bible says about life and female identity. In this knowledge, they see for themselves that they matter to God and "belong" in His family and in relationship with other believers.  Below is a current list of women's groups.

  • NEW!  Monday PM - "Free of Me" (OPEN)

    Weekly / 6:45-8:15 pm / SBCC Annex 620 N. 12th Avenue / 6 weeks

Starts March 9th.  We live in a culture that's all about self, becoming the best “me” I can be instead of becoming more like Jesus. This me-centered culture affects every area of our lives--relationships, self-image, our calling and even our faith.  Join us to discover how self-focus sabotages our lives and learn practical steps for focusing on God and others.  This series by Sharon Hodde Miller invites us into a bigger, Jesus-centered vision—one that restores our freedom and inspires us to live for more.

Each week we'll meet to discuss the book and watch the DVD for additional teaching.  There will be handouts for those who wish to dive deeper.  Co-led by Faylene Quinn and Lynda Ciganik.  Contact Faylene at qfaylene@yahoo.com or 920-559-0199.

  • Wednesday am - Bible Study Fellowship (OPEN)

Weekly / 10:00-11:30 am / First Baptist Church, Sturgeon Bay / 30 lessons

Starts September 11th and runs through mid-May.  Join us for "Unstoppable" -- a multi-church women's Bible study on the book of Acts.  Acts documents the infancy of the early Church from Jesus' instruction of His apostles before His ascension to the day of Pentecost and the explosion of Christianity.  Learn about our unstoppable God and His unstoppable church!

  • NEW!  Thursday AM - "Philippians" (OPEN)

    Weekly / 9-10:45 am, Fellowship 10:45-11:00 am / SBCC Annex 620 N. 12th Avenue / 9 weeks

Starts March 12th.   The life Jesus invites us into when we follow him is one of sacrifice. But does sacrificial living mean the Christian life should be riddled with sorrow? Paul answers that question in his letter to the Philippians with a resounding no. Paul, and the Philippians with him, lived joyfully in the midst of persecution, prison, and poverty.

In this eight-session series, Jo Saxton takes us through Philippians to encourage us to follow Jesus no matter what life throws at us. Through Paul's words and example, learn how joy and sacrifice can go hand-in-hand.

Study is from 9 am - 10:45 am, fellowship afterwards until 11:00 am.  Contact Debbie Bryan at 231-620-5037.
