Native American children suffer from abuse at one of the most alarming rates in our country. Oglala Lakota County is one of the most impoverished counties in the United States and is home to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. In mid June, 2025 we plan on traveling to Pine Ridge for one-week to serve at the NAOMI House, a non-profit ministry dedicated to providing a safe and loving home for Native American children in need.

The NAOMI House makes for a family friendly mission destination for groups of all sizes. Typical work projects range from weeding, cleaning, and painting along with construction projects. You will also have the opportunity to share your time with the NAOMI children and staff.  There is always in need for people with different skill sets.

The current plan is to leave Sturgeon Bay by 8am on Saturday, June 14 and drive the 12hrs to the reservation. We will be staying in housing provided on-site. Participants will need to pack a week's worth of work clothes. Tools will be provided. We then plan on leaving Naomi House early in the morning on Saturday, June 21 and driving through the day, returning to Sturgeon Bay sometime that evening.

There is so much to be done (see the 2025 project list) and we would be so thankful for your willingness to help to continue to prepare this house and property to meet the cultural, practical and spiritual needs of every child who comes through the doors.
